Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial time she tried out her skills, she placed second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and signed a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 secs. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won the title by beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently among the top three athletes in her respective events.
